How do I create external users using connectors?

External users are determined by their shopping account type. For external users, the shopping account type will always be “EXTERNAL”

To import external users into the LMS system, please ensure that the connector file has the below fields.

ENABLE_SHOPPING_ACCT
SHOPPING_ACCT_TYPE

Their values being

ENABLE_SHOPPING_ACCT should be set to 'Y'
SHOPPING_ACCT_TYPE should be set to 'EXTERNAL'

Necessary Field mappings and Transformation rules are to be applied for both the fields within the connector configuration.

Note: When you use this configuration. The system creates an External User who has an External Shopping account. It is this filed which distinguishes the user from (External/Internal)
