Symptom
When using the notification template editor, learning admins need to know how to add images.
"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Reproducing the Issue
- Learning Administration > System Administration > Manage Email > Email Notification Template >
- Search and access the desired template >
- "Messages" tab > click "Launch Editor" link > click on the 3 dots >
- Click "Insert/edit Image" > provide the source path and dimensions > save the changes.
Resolution
To add an image to the rich text editor, either:
- Drag and drop the image into the editor.
- Drag and drop the image into a browser tab, which will display the source URL.
Copy and paste the source URL for the image into the 'Source' field of the attachments dialog window.
Note:
- The image URL being added to the notification template should be publicly hosted on the internet, not just on the local system, otherwise it may not be loaded. It should be accessible without asking for any credentials. More details about it at KBA 2157471.
- For images to load fine in the email, it's required to provide the full path containing the extension of the image. Place the file in a server where it can be accessed using the full path. Ex.: https://www.******.com/image.png (where ****** is the server in which the image is stored in).
