2259831 - Error 8233 when SQL and REORG REBUILD ONLINE are running concurrently - SAP ASE

Symptom

While running a concurrent SQL during a REORG REBUILD...ONLINE operation, the following error may be raised:

Msg 8233, Level 16, State 1
Server 'SYBASE', Procedure 'sp_procedure', Line 94 (Called from script row 227), Status 0, TranState 1:
REORG WITH ONLINE operation is in progress on the object 'tablename' in database 'dbname'. Retry your query later.
