Symptom
You are running an upgrade on a system and an error occurs during the step MAIN_NEWBAS/JOB_DBDIF_UPG, SUM tool fails with the following error message :
Error message extracted from SAPupConsole.log:
Severe error(s) occured in phase MAIN_NEWBAS/JOB_DBDIF_UPG!
Last error code set: Batchjob 'RADDBDIF' with id '<id number>' aborted
In additional to the error related in the SAPupConsole.log file, you find that the batch job failed in the system with the below log:
Job started
Step 001 started (program RADDBDIF, variant , user ID DDIC)
Internal session terminated with a runtime error RAISE_EXCEPTION (see ST22)
Job cancelled
When the Dump is evaluated, there is an exception in program "SAPLSDB2" as below.
The short dump occured in function DB_CREATE_INDEX_S.
A RAISE statement in program "SAPLSDB2" has raised exception condition
"STORAGE_NOT_DETERMINATED".
