2261234 - Mangled display of documents / reports in BI Launchpad with IE

Symptom

  • IE 11 cannot display the content of the BI LaunchPad (BILP) - it is displaying as Basic HTML - without any CSS applied
  • The issue may also occur in Central Management Console (CMC), web intelligence (webi) reports , design studio and Lumira documents
  • When checking the debug window of IE, the CSS and XML cannot be processed with SEC7113 and XML5619
SEC7113: CSS was ignored due to MIME type mismatch
XML5619: Incorrect Document Syntax. Line: 1, Column 1

  • An HTTP trace and a review of the response headers for these show that the Content-Type is missing
  • Checking the stderr, a parsing error can be seen
