Symptom

Garbled text is shown in some popup screens:

The issue may begin to happen after kernel upgrade.

So far, following scenarios have been identified:

  • Using the function module TH_POPUP.
  • System popup "SAP System Message: User session closed by system".
  • System popup "maximum number of sessions reached".
