Symptom

  • DUMP TRANSACTION jobs are running on a heavily-loaded ASE
  • The following error is concurrently reported in the ASE errorlog:

Error: 1295, Severity: 26, State: 1
Unconditional lock request for table or page 3603045112, dbid 0 was made while holding a latch.

  • There is a stacktrace preceding the Error 1295, referencing the functions:
