2267312 - BW on HANA: Query terminates with message "Error during deserialization/The argument * cannot be interpreted as a number"

Symptom

When running a BW query or doing certain navigiation steps within a query the following error occurs:

Error Error during deserialization/The argument * cannot be interpreted as a number/Attribute = * (Field Name = *)/Value doesnot fit to data type = * with length = ***,decima 
Error Error 0 has occurred in the SAP HANA/BWA server 
Error Error reading the data of InfoProvider *
Error Error while reading data; navigation is possible
Information >> Row: 5 Inc: RETURN_TREX_MSG Prog: CL_RSDRH_TREX_STORAGE

The error only occurs when using HANA index access. When using standard SQL-access the error does not occur.
