Resolution
An assessment order can only be reinitiated if the order has not been acknowledged from the vendor. You can check the status of the order in the application by clicking on Take Action - History.
Alternatively, you can use ad-hoc reporting to report on the order status by using the column Application Assessment Order and selecting the field order status.
If the order status is "acknowledged", you will not be able to reinitiate the assessment.
If the status is other than "acknowledged", you may be able to reinitiate the assessment order. Please follow these steps to enable re-initiate the assessment:
- Go to Admin Center
- Manage recruiting settings
- Assessment Integration
- Provide the number of hours after which the assessment needs to be re-initiated and save the changes.
This setting - " Enable reinitiating assessment if no acknowledgment is received for any request in last -- hour(s)" in Manage recruiting settings . is used to identify assessments that have not been acknowledged by the vendor within the specified timeframe.
For example, if an assessment is triggered at 11:00 AM and no acknowledgment is received by 12:00 PM (with a 1-hour delay configured), this setting enables the recruiter to manually reinitiate the assessment for that candidate from the Application Workbench.
There is no automatic reinitiation of the assessment. This setting only enables the 'Reinitiate' button in the Application Workbench after the configured time here. The recruiter must manually reinitiate the request. SuccessFactors does not attempt it automatically. However, recruiters can track assessment statuses in the Application Workbench by enabling the assessment status column using Display Options menu. This helps identify candidates for whom the assessment failed or was not acknowledged.
The assessment status (e.g., failed, pending) will be visible in the Application Workbench if configured. Logs can also be checked via: Admin Center > Event Notification Audit Log
Note: status updates depend on receiving acknowledgment from the vendor and may take some time.
