Symptom

  • ASE session terminates unexpectedly
  • When executing a query using the 'if exist' clause
  • With the ASE errorlog containing a message 'infected with signal 11' at module CgpGlobal::CgpTransform(), for example:

Current process (hex#) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address hex# (void CgpGlobal::CgpTransform(CgpPop*)+0x728

  • Followed by a stack trace containing functions: 

CgpGlobal::CgpTransform()
CgpPop*CgpGlobal::CgpGenerate()
Optimize()
s_compile_stmt()
