2269682 - How To collect Network traces with Firefox Network Tool

Symptom

This KBA shows how to collect network traces with Firefox (from version 41) Network Tool, no needs to install any additional software.

Resolution

1. Open Firefox Network Tools

When you are on the Learning Plan, press Ctrl-Shift-Q on your keyboard.

Alternatively, go on Open menu->Developer->Network

Then the Network frame window will be docked on the bottom of Firefox.

2. Enable Persistent logs option

We need to enable persistent logs, to do it:

  • Toolbox Option (on right side)
  • Check Enable persistent logs
  • Back to Network tab

3. Replicate the issue

Replicate the issue, the window should be populated by traces.

4. Save the traces in HAR file

Right-Click anywhere on traces and select ‘Save all as HAR’.
