2270019 - Error Message: Character Yes Not Valid for Open Item Management

Symptom

You are trying to Import Chart of Accounts in xml format and the error message is shown as Character Yes not valid for Open Item Management.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Business Configuration Work center.
  2. Go to Implementation Projects view.
  3. Select the Project and Choose Open Activity List.
  4. Go to Fine Tune Activity and Find Activity Charts of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination.
  5. Choose Open.
  6. Choose Edit Chart of Accounts and Import from Microsoft Excel.

Error message is shown.

Cause

In xml format, there is a tag called <OpenItem Management>. In this case, the tag is maintained as <OpenItemManagement>x </OpenItemManagement>.

Resolution

The tag from Open Item Management should be given as <OpenItemManagement>X </OpenItemManagement> that is Yes should be given in the xml as 'X' (capital letter x) and not 'x' (small letter x).

After that, the upload shall work correctly.
