Resolution
It is possible to change the font/size while configuring the email template in 'Manage Recruiting email templates'. You will need to select the specific template, and then click on the tokens which are highlighted in yellow (clicking on tokens is equivalent to selecting them), and then click on Font and Size drop down from the toolbar provided to edit the template.
