2270393 - Element IDs change after import/export of BPMN files - SAP PD


  • In a BPMN file, each object are identified by string values.

    Example, <bpmn2:startEvent id="StartEvent_1">

  • Import a BPMN 2.0 file generated outside SAP PowerDesigner then export the Business Process Model as a standard BPMN 2.0 file, the ID values have changed for BPMN elements:

     <bpmn2:startEvent id="_U-gR9MBREeW_kvNEP17uUQ" name="Start_1">

  • The IDs should be preserved to support round-trip importing and exporting of BPMN 2.0 files.
