2271710 - Temp_extract options can overwrite critical database files - SAP IQ

Symptom

  • TEMP_EXTRACT option if used incorrectly can result in overwriting the database file or any other files owned by the user running the database.
This could end up in database corruption and database files being invalid.

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'DBException'

  • After the above error, if we start the database then we get the following error:
    E. 01/07 13:52:17. iqdemo.db is not a valid database file
    I. 01/07 13:52:17. Database server shutdown due to startup error
