2272318 - Cannot start Advantage Database Server 11 while ADS 10 is running and receive Error 7044

Symptom

  • When starting the Advantage Database Server (ADS) 11 for development testing the Error 7044: Advantage Server already on network is returned.
  • Advantage Database Server 10 is running in production.
  • You are entitled to both ADS version 10 and 11 therefore you should be able to run both simultaneously.
