Symptom

  • Upgrade from BPC7.5 to BPC10.X
  • Special characters, for example: /  % are used in the affected dimension definition.
  • Following error happens when you try to save or process these dimensions
    • "Unable to save", "Failed to activate SAP NetWeaver BI InfoObject for Dimension XXX"
  • Following error happens after you apply note 2212352 - Business Planning & Consolidation 10.1 NW SP07 Patch 01 – Webclient and 2212329 - Business Planning & Consolidation 10.1 NW SP07 Patch 01 – controls
    • "Error occurred", "An exception with the type CX_SY_INVALID_REGEX occurred, but was neither handled locally, nor declared in a RAISING clause"
