2272571 - BAPI_TRLSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI2 causes long hanging locks on database table: /SAPAPO/MODEL

Symptom

User is uploading Transportation Lanes and related objects (such as Means of Transport, Product-specific Means of Transport, Carrier) via a custom report, that utilizes SAP standard BAPI: BAPI_TRLSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI2. However during the job there are long hanging database locks observed on the table: /SAPAPO/MODEL. This puts a load on the database and also affects performance. This behavior is especially critical in case of huge amount of data upload.
