Symptom
This KBA shows how to collect network traces with Chrome from its network area. There is no need to install any additional software.

Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite
- SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Resolution
- Open Chrome Network Tools >
When you open a web application in Chrome, press Ctrl-Shift-I or F12 on your keyboard.
Alternatively, click the ‘Custom and control’ button in Top-Right->More tools->Developer Tools->Network Tab
Then the Developer Tools frame window will be docked on the bottom of Chrome.
- Enable Persistent logs option >
Check the box next to Preserve log
- Reproduce the issue >
You can use the clear button (a circle with a diagonal line through it) right before trying to reproduce the issue to remove unnecessary header information.
Then, look for a round button at the top left of the Network tab. Make sure it is red. If it is gray, click it once to start recording.
- Stop capturing once you finished to replicate the issue >
Once you finished to replicate the problem, press the Red record button.
The record icon then becomes Grey:
- Save the traces as HAR file.
Save the capture by right-clicking on the grid and choosing "Save as HAR with Content"
