Symptom
- Error Logging into HIVE
- Apache Hadoop Hive connection on Information Design Tool 4x Simba JDBC - how to prevent "Error validating the login" error.Information Design Tool (IDT) connection to Apache Hadoop Hive via the Simba JDBC4 HiveServer2 driver.
- Correct username/password specified for the connection, as tested on tools other than IDT.
- "Test Connection" returns "Test Failed" with error: [Simba][HiveJDBCDriver](500164) Error initialized or created transport for authentication: Peer indicated failure: Error validating the login.
