Symptom
The maintained working times of the employees differ from the Time Account Balances posted by the system.
For example: Although a half-day vacation was approved and the working hours were maintained, both time amounts entries were summarized and posted to the Working Time Account. Consequently, you were expecting fewer hours to be posted by the system.
Environment

Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Time Administration work center.
- Go to Employees view.
- Find the respective employee and click Edit button.
- Go to Employee Times tab and click Show Last 6 Months.
You notice that the system has posted different times under the 'Accounts Posting' sub-tab compared to the entries in the 'Time Account Balances' sub-tab.
Cause
Verify whether Overtime rules are configured in the Business Configuration work center. Without Overtime Rules the standard system behaviour calculation is to add all maintained Time entries subtracted by the maintained Target Hours.
Resolution
You have to configure the Overtime Rule:
- Go to Business Configuration work center.
- Go to Overview view.
- Search and highlight the activity Time Types - <country>.
- Select Change Immediately button.
- Select Maintain Time Recording Profile link.
- Highlight the respective Profile Code.
- Go to Overtime Rules sub-tab.
- Highlight the respective row.
- Select the Overtime Threshold sub-tab.
- Here, you select Daily and configure the Overtime rules.
- Save the changes.
You have to perform an Administer Day Closure Runs to activate the changes, as follows:
- Go to Time Administration work center.
- Go to Regular Tasks.
- Select Administer Day Closure Runs link.
