Symptom
- ASE errorlog reports error 605 on sysgams and sysdams pages:
Run the DBCC command 'dbcc tablealloc' for both the objects, object id = 14, partition id = 58.
Error: 605, Severity: 21, State: 1
An attempt was made to fetch logical page '12345678' from cache 'default data cache'.
Page belongs to database 'db_name' (5), object 'sysdams' (58), index 'sysdams' (0), partition 'sysdams_58' (58)
and not to database 'db_name'' (5), object 'sysgams' (14), index 'sysgams' (0), partition 'sysgams_14' (14).
- When running DBCC error 2503 is returned:
Checking table 'sysgams' (object ID 14): Logical page size is 2048 bytes.
Number (2503) Severity (16) State (9) Server (ASE_name)
Table Corrupt: Page linkage is not consistent. Check the following pages: current page number = 12345678, partition ID = 58; ...
