2273966 - BR0832E Changing password for user SAPSR3DB failed

Symptom

Whiling changing the password of the SAP Schema Owner of your JAVA stack, e.g. SAPSR3DB. Change the password using brconnect with a command similar to the one below:

brconnect -u / -c -f chpass -o SAPSR3DB -p <password>

The following error messages is reported:

BR1525I Setting password for database user SAPSR3DB in secure storage /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/global/security/data/SecStore.properties ...
BR0278W Command output of '/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run/brtools -f printpwd -U /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/global/security/data/.java.pwf | /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/jvm/rs6000_64/sapjvm_4.1.018/sapjvm_4/bin/java - classpath /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/global/sltools/sharedlib/launcher.jar com.sap.engine.offline.OfflineToolStart
