2274077 - Unable to logon to the SAP application - SAP ASE for Business Suite and SAP BW

Symptom

  • By running startsap all, you have this output:

Database is not available via R3trans

Instance on host XXXXX started

  • ASE is up and running : you can access to the database by runnning on command line: isql -S<SID> -Usapsa -X and executing a statement like sp_who successfully.
  • ASE errorlog is showing no errors.
  • But you cannot access from application side: Error 10061 is returned with WSAECONNREFUSED: Connection refused message:
