2274100 - repserver -v generates 'Could not load program repserver' - SAP RS 15.7.1 SP300

Symptom

  • We are getting an error when running 157 SP300 repserver -v :

sybase_gnutar –xf   REPSERVER1570300_0-20011161.TGZ

Could not load program repserver:
Symbol resolution failed for /sybase_0058/sandbox2_REP/RS157/REP-15_5/lib64/libsybcirs.so because:
        Symbol ___strcmp64 (number 5) is not exported from dependent
          module /usr/lib/libc.a[shr_64.o].
        Symbol ___strcpy64 (number 9) is not exported from dependent
          module /usr/lib/libc.a[shr_64.o].
System error: Error 0
Examine .loader section symbols with the 'dump -Tv' command.
