Employee Central provides the flexibility to perform Configuration Changes via the Admin Center UI. These changes can be implemented by users who are granted the correct permissions. However, there are a few changes that cannot be performed via the Admin Center UI and you may need to engage with either SAP Professional Services or an Implementation Partner for such acitivites. This document will help you to identify the changes that can be performed via Admin UI.

How to perform Configuration Changes via Admin Center?
You can utilize "Manage Business Configuration" which allows you to perform certain configure changes to Employee Central (core), via Admin Center.
Before you proceed with the changes, you need to confirm that the "Business Configiration UI" is enabled in your system.

In case Manage Business Configuration is not enabled in your system, please open a Support case with SAP Cloud Product Support, to get the Business Configuration UI feature enabled.

Employee Central HRIS Element Configuration and portlet behaviour
All field and element configurations for Employee Central can be managed using Manage Business Configuration (in Admin Center), and here are a few examples:

Key features (such as Time Off, Time Sheet, Position Management, and more) can be enabled from Admin Center.
