The distance unit depends on the user's locale.

In order to change the lenght unit from miles to km / from km to miles, you would have to change the user's locale. For example for English US the location radius will be displayed in miles:

whereas for Polish locale the distance is displayed in km:

Note this logic applies to both the RCM career site and the RMK career site.
