Symptom
- IBM DB2 automatically modifies the value of the parameter NUMPARTS of a table space when a new partition is added to a table associated to this table space.
- Using SAP PowerDesigner, user needs to manually change this value in the table space's physical options.
- Applying model changes to the database, it generates CREATE statements to recreate the table space and the partitioned table, whereas the ALTER TABLE statement is enough to add partitions to the existing table.
