2275709 - Workflow Limitations - Placeholder for Certain Fields Returning Code Values Instead of Code Descriptions

Placeholder for certain fields returning code values instead of code descriptions. Example: Activity Category field.

Scenario 1: In the workflow alerts for opportunity the Subject is displaying Custom Status Code of the opportunity instead of the opportunity status description.

Scenario 2: You have created a workflow rule to send e-mails about activities using HTML Template for the message.In the template you have added a place holder for Category.
Now whenever the e-mail is sent out, for all custom categories the Category Code is shown instead of Category Description.

Due to a technical framework limitation it is not possible to display the description.
This is a known limitation whenever a field of type code-description. In cases like this, the code is added to the email and is not replaced or substituted by the description.

At the moment it is recommended to use a field which has only description as its value and not the code-description.
