2275750 - UnexpectedServerException: com/businessobjects/mds/olap/protocol/sap/jco/JCOConnection : cannot initialize class because prior initialization attempt failed while refreshing Web Intelligence based on Bics connectivity

Symptom

  • Refreshing a report based on existing Olap connection from Web Intelligence Rich Client fails with the error :
    com.businessobjects.sdk.core.server.CommunicationException$UnexpectedServerException: [[error.openSapBwBrowsingSessionFailed] 0] <<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?> <ConnectionString>
  • Refreshing a report based on existing Olap connection fails from BI Launchpad with the error:
    com.businessobjects.sdk.core.server.CommunicationException$UnexpectedServerException: com/businessobjects/mds/olap/protocol/sap/jco/JCOConnection : cannot initialize class because prior initialization attempt failed
  • Testing the OLAP connection in Central Management Console(CMC) works fine
