2275965 - Error 15497 after importing Encrypted Keys for an encrypted database using DDLGEN. Unattended startup fails to access the database - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • An encrypted database is loaded to a second server. 
  • After importing from the source server using DDLGen, an unattended startup of the encrypted database is not possible.
  • Errors raised during ASE startup:

The server will recover databases serially.
Error: 15497, Severity: 16, State: 1
The password for the master key of database 'master' has not been set.
Error: 975, Severity: 17, State: 1
The database 'pubs2' is encrypted.
Error: 3419, Severity: 17, State: 1
Unable to proceed with the recovery of dbid <4> because of previous errors.
Continuing recovery with the next database.
