2276599 - RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE: Incomplete logon data

Symptom

The user clicks on a portal tab or Java webdynpro application which connects to the backend server using JCo destination/system connection using SSO (Single Sign On) and it fails with the below error:

Contact your system administrator. Incomplete logon data. Incomplete logon data.:com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (103) RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE: Incomplete logon data at com.sap.mw.jco.MiddlewareJRfc.generateJCoException(MiddlewareJRfc.java:55 Caused by: RfcException: [null] message: Incomplete logon data.
