Symptom
- Users can mark a visit as "Completed" without completing mandatory surveys or tasks.
- This issue occurs when specific scoping questions in the Business Configuration are not properly configured.
Environment
- SAP Cloud for Customer
Reproducing the Issue
Prerequisite: An open visit with a mandatory survey or task assigned to it.
If the scoping question "Do you want to deactivate the check-in/check out buttons for visits?" is scoped in Business Configuration:
- Navigate to the Visits work center.
- Search for and open a visit with the status "Open".
- Click the "Check In" button.
- The visit status changes to "In Process".
- Click the "Check Out" button.
- The visit status changes to "Completed".
If the scoping question "Do you want to deactivate the check in/check out buttons for visits?" is not scoped in Business Configuration:
- Navigate to the Visits work center.
- Search for and open a visit with the status "Open".
- Click the "Actions" button.
- Select the option "Set as In Process".
- Click the "Actions" button again.
- Select the option "Set as Completed".
In both scenarios, the visit status changes to "Completed" even if mandatory surveys or tasks are not completed.
Cause
The system allows users to mark a visit as "Completed" without completing mandatory surveys or tasks if the scoping question "Do you want to ensure that sales and service reps complete mandatory tasks and surveys before allowing them to close visits?" is not scoped in the Implementation Project.
Resolution
- Navigate to the Business Configuration work center.
- Select the Implementation Projects view.
- Choose the relevant Implementation Project and click the "Edit Project Scope" button.
- Click "Next" until you reach Step 4: Questions.
- Expand the "Sales" options.
- Expand the "Account and Activity Management" options.
- Select "Activity Management".
- Check the box for the scoping question "Do you want to ensure that sales and service reps complete mandatory tasks and surveys before allowing them to close visits?"
- Save the changes.
Above configuration ensures users are not able to complete the visit or tasks, unless mandatory survey is completed
