2278910 - Receiving Error: "Unable to initiate onboarding process. Reason: Unknown Error."- Onboarding 1.0 / RCM

• When trying to onboard a candidate, the following errors are received:
• 'Unable to initiate onboarding process. Reason: Unknown Error.'
  
• Unable to initiate onboarding process. [ErrorCode -1; ErrorMessage- Unknown or expired Ticket]
• In the back-end logs (only accessible by SAP SuccessFactors Cloud Product Support), the following error is present 'ONB_SAVE_CANDIDATE_INFO_ERR'.

• SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
• SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 1.0

1. Navigate to SAP SuccessFactors HCM > Recruiting
2. Open the affected requisition and find the candidate with error
3. Click Initiate Onboarding and the following error is received: 'Unable to initiate onboarding process. Reason: Unknown Error.'

• The field parameter readytoHire in Object Definition > OnboardingCandidateInfo is marked as required. For other causes find related KBAs with same error recieved: #sfobdintrcmunabletoinitiateuerr
• Connection of BizX and Onboarding is not configured

For Live Customers (SAP SuccessFactors HCM with Recruiting)

Please reach out to SAP SuccessFactors Cloud Product Support in SAP for Me via SAP Expert Chat or Support case and provide the following information:

• Affected BizX Company ID
• Affected Requisition ID or Title
• Affected Candidate Name
• Affected Recruiter
• Support Access

Note: SAP SuccessFactors Cloud Product Support will investigate the behavior

For Implementation Partner/s or Consultants

Confirm if readytoHire is required

1. Navigate to SAP SuccessFactors HCM > Admin Center > Configure Object Definitions
2. Select Object Definition as search filter and in the next field find OnboardingCandidateInfo 
3. Find readyToHire parameter (use Ctrl + F and search the value readyToHire)
4. In the 5th column, select the corresponding row where readyToHire is located
5. Find Required (use Ctrl + F and search the value Required)
6. If the value of Required is set as 'No', find related KBA where the following error is received: 'Unable to initiate onboarding process. Reason: Unknown Error.' in the link provided in the cause section
   

Update readytoHire to No

1. If the value of Required is set as 'Yes', click done to close more details pop-up window
2. Click Take Action button (located in the top right corner) and select Make Correction
3. Find readyToHire parameter (use Ctrl + F and search the value readyToHire)
4. In the 5th column, select the corresponding row where readyToHire is located
5. Find Required (use Ctrl + F and search the value Required)
6. Select 'No' and click Done button
7. Find and click the Save button at the bottom of the page to reflect the changes

Check is Bizx is properly connected to Onboarding

1. Go to Super Admin > Features and check if connection is configured
2. Go to Provisioning > Companies and check if Onboarding feature is enable and connected to the right Onboarding ID
