2279384 - SySAM invalid host after moving LPAR - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • ASE server moved from one LPAR to another
  • Upon restart of ASE reports 'Invalid host' messages:

    SySAM: Failed to obtain 1 license(s) for ASE_CORE feature from license file(s) or server(s).
    SySAM: Invalid host.
    SySAM:  The hostid of this system does not match the hostid
    SySAM:  specified in the license file.

    SySAM: License feature name:  ASE_CORE
    SySAM: License hostid:        aabb1122
    ...
    SySAM: FLEXnet Licensing error:-9,57

    There is no valid license for ASE server product. Installation date is not found or installation grace period has expired. Server will not boot.
