Symptom

  • The sysqueryplans system table size (row count) grows and becomes very large over time. 
  • The very large size of sysqueryplans can impact (slow down) the steps within an upgrade process e.g. during system table updates.
  • This also slows down Cross-Platform Dump and Load (XPDL) during phase2 of the cross-database conversion steps.
