2280920 - New entity > "Approval Required" field default value Is it possible to change the default value for "Approval Required" field to "Yes" when creating new item records?

When creating/adding an item, the "Approval Required" field is set "No" by default.

3. The "Approval Required" field is set "No" by default.

This is the expected system behavior. To have a different system behavior, it'd be possible to have an enhancement request (KBA 2090228) created for it, where the Learning Product Management team can further review and assess the requested functionality to be considered in a future release.

Note:

• It's possible to set the default "Approval Process" and "Withdraw Approval Process" when adding an item: Learning Administration > System Administration > Configuration > Global Application Settings > "Global Application Settings" tab > "Approval Process Settings" area > "Default Internal Approval Process ID" field.
  
  
• When creating items via the Item Connector, specific connector columns (Course (Item) Data Connector File Columns) and/or the "item.connector.defaultValue.item.approvalRequired" configuration line (KBA 2075257) can be used to define the approval and withdrawal processes.
