2281046 - Error in phase PREP_INIT/CHECKPROF_INI due to lack of automatic buffer validation.

Symptom

  • The phase BEGIN PREP_INIT/CHECKPROF_INI (System Profile Check) fails with the following error recorded in CHECKS.LOG:

ERROR: To ensure a smooth operation, you have to perform the following changes to your profile \\<hostname>\sapmnt\<SID>\SYS\profile\DEFAULT.PFL before continuing:
Buffers of your SAP system are not automatically validated. Change profile parameter rdisp/bufrefmode to contain exeauto

  • After changing the Default profile as required and repeating the phase the error reoccurs.
