2282306 - Invalid buffer size of #K encountered - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • When reconfiguring a cache, it fails with a message including "Invalid buffer size of ... encountered"
    • The value reported can be any of the valid cache pool sizes in ASE : 2K, 4K, 8K, 16K, 32K, 64K or 128K :

Msg 18147, Level 16, State 1:
Server 'XXX', Procedure 'sp_do_poolconfig', Line ...:
Invalid buffer size of 64K encountered. Valid buffer sizes are powers of two between 4 and 32 kilobytes inclusive.
