2282363 - Assignment profile (AP) not assigning program to the users who are a part of the AP

• The program which is a part of the AP is not assigned to the users.
• The Assignment Profile (AP) is synchronizing as expected.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Create an AP that includes users that should be assigned a program >
2. Add the program to the AP >
3. Synchronize and propagate the AP >
4. The users who were part of the AP had the program initially assigned when the assignment profile was propagated and synched >
5. After a certain time, the AP stopped assigning the program to the users who were being added to the AP when they were satisfying the criteria of the AP and the assignment profile was being synched.

This happens because the program that is a part of the AP is a scheduled program:

• The program would be assigned to the users through the AP while the program start date is in the future and users are being added to the AP after assignment profile sync.
• As soon as the program start date is in the past, no matter how many users are added to the AP, they will not have the given scheduled program assigned via the assignment profile.
• If the assignment cutoff is specified for scheduled program in the AP (Manage User Learning > Assignment Profiles > Search and access the desired one > Programs > Assignment End Date/Assignment End Time), then the program is assigned until that cut off and will not be assigned once the cutoff date and time are in the past and the assignment cutoff should be before the scheduled program's end date. It may behoove to specify even before program start date depending on your implementation needs.

Manually assign the program to the users via the Learning admin side:

• Add the program to the desired users, one by one.
• Use the Manage Assignments to assign the program in mass - Assigning Users to Learning Needs in Bulk.

Workaround:

• Unless needed, avoid using scheduled programs in assignment profiles.
• The program will not be pushed out to the users once the program's start date is in the past.
