2283459 - Timeslice error in mmap64 or munmap or mda_flush_iostats when running sp_sysmon - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • When running sp_sysmon or a query on the monitoring table monThread
  • Receiving a timeslice error in either mmap64() or munmap() or mda_flush_iostats() module followed by a stack trace, for example:
     
    • kernel timeslice -1015, current process infected at 0x2aaaace3acf7 (munmap+0x7)
    • kernel timeslice -544, current process infected at 0x2aaaace3acca (mmap64+0xa)
    • kernel timeslice -532, current process infected at 0x17ed505 (mda_flush_iostats+0x1f3)
