2283806 - Termination Reason drop-down menu in Take Action > Terminate (MSS UI) is empty

When navigating to an Employee > Take Action > Terminate, and trying to select a Termination Reason (Event Reason with "Termination" Event set) - the drop-down menu is empty.

This could be caused by the following reasons:

• The logged in user has no permission to the Event Reasons in question;
• The Event Reasons are not configured correctly (configured with incorrect "Event" and "Employee Status" values);
• The "event" picklist that provides the "Event" options in the Event Reason has multiple OBSOLETED values which have a valid external_code.

Permission Issue:

1. If the user does not have permission to the Event Reasons in question - Navigate to Admin Center > Manage Permission Roles 
2. Grant the end users role with permission to the Event Reasons (under User Permissions > Employee Data > Event Reasons) (View and Edit are both needed)

Event Reason Configuration Issue:

1. Navigate to Admin Center > Manage Organisation, Pay and Job Structures > select "Event Reason" in the 1st drop-down menu
2. Select the Termination Event Reason in question
3. Verify that the selection in the "Event" field is equal to the "Termination" value in the "event" picklist - External Code must be set to "26"

"event" Picklist Configuration issue:

1. Navigate to Admin Center > Picklist Management. Select "Export all picklist(s)" and click Submit

2. Open the file and filter on column A (^picklistId) and select "event" to view all values for the "event" picklist.

3. Remove the "external_code" value from all values which have a Status of "OBSOLETED" and "DELETED" -:

4. Once completed, copy the corrected data for the OBSOLETED event picklist values to a fresh Picklist import template (can download from the same page by using the "Export Data Format" option). Ensure you keep the same OptionId so the system knows which value to update and then Import the picklist values again without the external_code -:
