2283958 - How to Enable HTML Editor for an item's description

Symptom

This is a KBA to show how to enable the HTML Editor for an item's description. It will allow adminstrators to add HTML elements and styling to their item/classes descriptions, viewable on the user-side by finding the appropriate item or class via the library search.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Resolution

Steps to enable the HTML Editor for item description(s):

  1. Go to Learning Administration >
  2. System Administration >
  3. Configuration >
  4. System Configuration >
  5. LMS_Admin >
  6. Edit LMS_Admin >
  7. Search for: 'enableHTMLDescriptions=false' >
  8. Change to: 'enableHTMLDescriptions=true' >
  9. Apply changes >
  10. Go to any item and edit any item description in core area.

Additional Information

  • Please be aware that any changes applied in the editor will only be viewable in the item's description on the initial class page.
  • These changes are not currently reflected in the item's description when viewed on the 'Register Now' page.
  • Any HTML elements/styling are removed when viewed on this library search results page.
