2284045 - Posting end date for Daylight Savings Time

Symptom

The Posting end date is ending a day later than what was selected in Job Postings.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Cause

The selected end date is during daylight savings time.

Resolution

The system will automatically adjust itself for daylight savings. The job posting will always end on 11:59 PM on the date selected in job postings, there is currently no way to change this. If you select a date after daylight savings come into effect the system will adjust the end date to end at 11:59 PM on the timezone on that date.

If we take the timezone in Germany as an example, for Germany daylight savings begins on the last Sunday of March and ends on the last Sunday of October. The timezone of Germany is UTC+1 but changes to UTC+2 for daylight savings. So if the date is currently the 1st of February and you select an end date for the 1st of April, then the job posting will look like its ending on the 2nd of April at 12.59 AM. This is because the job posting is actually ending at 11:59 PM UTC+2 on the 1st of April, but you are viewing the end date in UTC+1.

This is expected behavior, there is currently no way to stop the system from adjusting for daylight savings. If you would like to be able to do this in future releases please create an enhancement request.
