2285850 - What does the 'Total Surveys' take into account in the Surveys report

When looking at the output of the Surveys report there are two columns in question. They are the 'Completed Surveys' and 'Total Surveys'. What does the column for total surveys take into account? For instance, is it all the surveys that were sent out for the item?

The 'Total Surveys' is the count of all active surveys awaiting completion. If the survey is no longer active and/or has been removed from the students learning plan it will no longer count toward the total surveys. When setting an evaluation for an item there is a setting that is defined for 'Days to Complete', once this time is expired the item is no longer active and will not be counted on the report.
