2286350 - How to automatically generate email addresses for new hires using rules

How do I generate and pre-populate the new hire's email address field using their Firstname.lastname@domain.com using rules?

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Configure a rule to default email id as a specific one in add new hire page. 
2. Add new user. 
3. Notice that the email id is not defaulted. 

The system will only check mandatory fields if a new entry has been added to the field. 

This type of implementation is outside of the scope of Cloud Product Support.
