2287998 - Solution Manager iCI access fails with ASE SQL257 - SAP ASE

Symptom

When running SOLMAN on ASE, you see the following error in transaction SM21: [ASE Error SQL257:42000][SAP][ASE ODBC Driver][Adaptive Server Enterprise]Implicit conversion from datatype 'VARCHAR' to 'INT' is not allowed. Use the CONVERT function to run this query

Via ST05 trace you find the SQL commands causing the above error:

SELECT * FROM E2E_ICIDB_IMHT WHERE MANDT = 100 AND KPI_ID = ? AND INP_MEAS_ID = ? AND LANGU = ?
 
UPDATE E2E_ICIDB_IMHT SET LABEL_SERIES_NEW = ? WHERE KPI_ID = ? AND INP_MEAS_ID = ? AND LANGU = ? AND MANDT = 100
