2288924 - Different errors received during Job Information import - Employee Central

• During validation or import of employee Job Information the following error is received: "Internal System error encountered while importing record"
• Also, other possible error: "The manager {"userDisplayValue":"","userId":"ABC"} for user XYZ does not exist as of MM/DD/YYYY."

1. Go to "Import employee data" tool.
2. Get latest template for "Job Information" and fill this in with the correct data.
3. After this is filled in try to do a "validate import file data" or direct import of file.
4. Error is received.

Allthough all required data is filled in, the issue is that the template and import file does not have the mandatory Manager-id field, this field is needed and can not be set to visibility=view or none.

To resolve the import issue you have 2 options:

1. You can opt to set manager-id field to be Visibility= both (or edit).
2. You can opt to keep visibility set to view only, but than you need to set the option "allow-import" to value "true" for this field.

These changes can be achieved by going into the "Manage Business Configuration" page or directly in the data model of your company instance.
