2290254 - Error: Setup routines for the SAP Amazon RedShift ODBC Driver could not be lodaded due to system error code 126

Symptom

  • Unable to create an ODBC DSN to Amazon Redshift.
  • In Microsoft ODBC Administrator, when attempting to create an ODBC DSN to Amazon Redshift, it fails with the error:
      
    "The setup routines for the SAP Amazon RedShift ODBC Driver
      ODBC driver could not be loaded due to system error code 126:
      The specified module could not be found. (C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\
      SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86\odbc\simbaamazon\1.0\lib\SimbaRedshiftODBC32.dll)."
         
    Followed by the error:
      
    "Driver's ConfigDSN, ConfigDriver, or ConfigTranslator failed"
        
    "Errors Found:
      The setup routines for the SAP Amazon RedShift ODBC Driver ODBC driver
      could not be loaded due to system error code 126: The specified module
      could not be found. (C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\
      win32_x86\odbc\simbaamazon\1.0\lib\SimbaRedshiftODBC32.dll)."
