2290971 - Opening .ics calendar file in Outlook Web Access (OWA)

The Notifications sent from Learning Management System(LMS) contain .ics file as an attachment for the schedule which when clicked in outlook which is locally installed on a system adds the schedule to your calendar.

Where as in Outlook Web Access when click on .ics file users are given a choice of opening it in the local copy of outlook or to download the file.

This becomes an issue if users does not have outlook locally installed.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

First download the .ics file and then navigate to New> Add Calendar> From File and then you can import events from an .ics file and the schedule will be added to the calendar.
